Ok, there’s obviously not a real lot of surf in Alice Springs being about 1500km from the ocean, but take nothing away from what Alice Springs (the Alice) has to offer. It’s the gateway to Australia’s Red Centre where some of the world’s most amazing natural beauty can be seen. From Ayers Rock (Uluru) to the Olgas, Standley Chasm and Kings Canyon, the Alice is a great base to see it all.
However, let’s not forget the local sights such as the Alice Springs Telegraph Station (birthplace of the Alice Springs township), the Alice Springs Desert Park (home to over 100 species of animals), Anzac Hill (where you can take in the sweeping views of the town) and of course the ‘Henley on Todd Ragatta’ (the annual boat race held on the dry river bed of the Todd River).
Alice Springs is an amazing outback town with so much to offer locals and tourists alike. Why not make it a must do destination on your next Aussie adventure?
